Europe-China cargo train service maintains expansion through Henan

(MENAFN) In 2020, an overall of 1,126 goods train trips were carried out connecting the city of Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, with European states. The trains transferred 714,900 tonnes of merchandise valued at USD4.3 billion. In mid-February last year, the China-Europe cargo train service through Zhengzhou led the way in continuing operation after the disturbance cause by the outburst of the coronavirus pandemic.

During November of last year, a new China-Europe cargo train passage connecting Zhengzhou with Helsinki in Finland was introduced, marking the fifth road to Europe from Zhengzhou. Introduced in July 2013, the logistic network of China-Europe cargo train services started off from Zhengzhou has handled 3,886 train trips, managing over 2.1 million tonnes of goods valued at USD16 billion.
