Queensferry Road crash: traffic brought to a 'standstill' following collision on A90

The two-vehicle collision happened at about 7am on Wednesday morning in Queensferry Road, near to Tesco Express. A car involved flipped on its roof during the crash, which is causing up to 40 minute delays in the area. One driver caught in the travel chaos said: "Traffic on A90 is at a standstill as far as Craigiehall due to an accident on Queensferry Road."

Traffic watchdog Edinburgh Travel News (ETN) said: "RTC ongoing Queensferry Road at Parkgrove, affecting both citybound lanes.

"Citybound queues now from Dolphington, westbound queues from Quality Street and lengthy delays on Maybury Road, Drum Brae North and Clermiston Road North." Lothian Buses confirmed the number 41 and 43 have been diverted due to the crash. A police spokeswoman said: "Around 7am this morning, Wednesday, 28 October, 2020, police and emergency services were called to a two vehicle road crash on Queensferry Road, Edinburgh (near the Tesco Express).

"One car on its roof, however, all occupants are out of the cars and none required to be taken to hospital.

Enquiries in to the crash are continuing." More as we have it.
