UNDERWAY: Help us ‘Stuff the Truck’ with donations for Louisiana hurricane victims

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - KNOE is teaming up with First West to lend a helping hand to the families in Southwest Louisiana impacted by Hurricane Laura. Tuesday, September 15, we will collect donations of specific items people need. Items Needed

  • Powerade/Gatorade
  • Snacks
  • Basic toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, hygiene items, deodorant, shower soap)
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Germ-X or hand wipes
  • Paper or Styrofoam Plates
  • Plastic forks, spoons, knives
  • Diapers

First West is coordinating with the Louisiana Baptist Disaster Relief to make sure these supplies will get to those who need them.

Bancroft Bag is also supplying the trailer and is handling the logistics of transportation. The donation site will be at the First West Thrift Store, located at 1 Stella-Mill Street in West Monroe. People can bring their donations starting Tuesday morning to the tents located near the truck in the Thrift Store Parking Lot from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
