Back to Gallery It’s not exactly what you would expect to find on Valentine’s Day. During a random inspection, Customs and Border Protection agents found a human brain in a Canadian mail truck Feb.

14. Its destination was Kenosha, Wisconsin. The brain was shipped from Toronto to Wisconsin, when agents stopped the truck in Port Huron, Michigan.

Agents found the brain at the Centralized Examination Center in Marysville. The brain is now in quarantine, pending a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention investigation to ensure it is not a biohazard. “Individuals looking to import shipments such as this need to remember that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a strict Import Permit Program that must be adhered to,” Area Port Director Michael Fox said in a statement.

There was no prior notice or accompanying paperwork with the brain, which was packed with bubble wrap in a mason jar, CBP agents said.

CBP agents would not say where exactly in Kenosha the brain was being shipped, citing an open investigation.
